教学案例—— 对一节语法课的反思

一、       背景

本节课是新课标《高中英语必修1 Unit 5》的Learning About Language部分,主要内容是定语从句的学习。定语从句是高中英语的重点和难点,也是历年来高考的热点,但是,由于定语从句的结构和用法比较复杂,初学者在学习过程中往往都感到较难,因此,在学习这项语法时必须要循序渐进,要学习更多的例句,并要做大量的练习才能掌握好这项语法。



二、        教学设计与过程

Step 1 Greeting



Step 2 Words competition

    Find the words and expressions from the warming up and reading from this unit according to what I say.



Step 3 Discovering useful structures

1)    Read the passage again, find out the sentences with attributive clauses.

2) Page 36. Exercise 1 in Discovering useful structures.

Possible answers:

•1.The mines where I worked were 9 km from my house.

•2.The reason why I got a job was because of my hard work.

•3.The time when I arrived was late at night.

•4.The government building where we voted was very grand.

•5.The date when I joined the ANC was the 5th of August.



Step 4 Play a game

Get the students into groups of four. The first person begins with a simple sentence and each person in the group adds extra and different information using the attributive clause.

For example:

Student 1: The school was very large.

Student 2: The school where I learned judo was very large.

Student 3: The school where I studied for six years was very large.

Student 4: The school where I was so unhappy was very large.



Then change places so S2/S3/S4 begins the game with another sentence.

Suggested sentences:



The village was very beautiful.

•The girl is my good friend.

•The book is interesting.

•The day was the 7th of November.



Step 5 Summary

What we learned today:

1) The attributive clauses with where and when.

2) Some words.



Step 6 Homework:

Finish the exercises in P71.



三、        教学反思

我将本节课设计为竞赛、导入、个人探究、互动交流等六个步骤。我充分发挥课件的优势,使本节课的内容更加充实,容量更多。既贯通了所要学的知识,又拓展了课外知识,使得本节课学生在学习过程中兴趣更加浓厚,积极地自主探究,讨论问题热烈,课堂气氛活跃。

(一)英语课堂教学方面

本节课英语教学中以“任务驱动”的方法,让学生自主探究和协作探究为主,培养学生的自主学习能力。在这节课中通过安排学生的个人探索、协作学习、讨论等各种形式来激发学生学习兴趣,并有创造性的完成任务。让学生在教师的指导下,通过感知、体验、实践,参与和合作等方式,实现任务的目标,感受成功,以形成积极的学习态度,促进语言实际运用能力的提高。采用以小组为单位进行单词竞赛的方式来开始这堂课,营造出宽松、活泼的学习气氛。并能使学生在活动中互相学习、互相帮助,互相鼓励,体验集体荣誉感和成就感,发展合作精神。在游戏环节里,让学生来扩展句子,由于提供了句子的主干,降低了造句的难度,学生参与非常踊跃,发言的欲望强烈,学生的学习兴趣得到了很大的提高。

(二)存在问题:

1、在Summary这个环节里,由于时间关系,没能够展开来更细些跟学生讲,以便使学生印象更加深刻,尤其是程度较差的那部分学生。这是这堂课的一个缺陷。

2、在整个教学步骤中,学生们回答问题(或是所做练习)的答案几乎与老师提供的参考答案(句子)相同,但又不能代表整体学生的水平,程度较差的学生仍跟不上,不能反映出学生存在的问题,也就是说,也许这节课没能够解决学生仍存在的问题。如果解决学生仍存在的共同的问题,那效果将会更好。
